Tik Tok has been around for years, it peaked during 2020 when the whole world was on lock down. Since then the communities on tik tok have grown safe spaces have been created for different people are there interests and there hobbies, around the the time people were starting to create their own communities ¨BookTok¨ Started to become a thing where people would share different books are what there thought were on them, like one big virtual book club, even bookstores like barnes and nobles were starting to use the term in their stores promoting books that have been popular on Tik Tok . Since then people have expanded with different genres of books going in depth with them and giving recommendations. But obviously on a social media app as big as Tik Tok there are gonna be people who hate, people who have posted different books and base their profiles around books are getting a lot of hate with people throwing lots of hate at them just because of their opinion on a book.
