Princess Diana Book Review

I read the book The Lady Di Look Book by Eloise Moran. As an avid Princess Diana fan I just knew I had to get the book. It talked about how Diana used her clothes as a voice for when she could not speak about how she was feeling. She wore her heart on her sleeve and her choice of clothing added more to the sentiment. The book broke down her outfits into different parts. From the beginning of her royal career all the way to her 90’s revenge outfits. There were also some honorable mentions of Princess Anne and Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson’s outfits. The book also talked about how her hair changed with the way her style changed. How she used her makeup, clothes, hair and accessories to emulate how she was feeling; even if we didn’t know the signs then. The book mentioned ways to shop like Diana did or how to look for things. In the back of the book it had names of her most trusted friends, places she liked to shop, music/artists she liked. It also mentioned podcasts you could listen to and movies that embrace the “revenge” lifestyle.

I loved the book. I might be a little biased because she has such a hold over not just me but others in my life. It amazes me still to this day that she is still talked about as if she was still alive. It wasn’t just the fashion that has made her into such a heroine but the way she cared and helped others. That legacy will forever live on.

“Nothing brings me more happiness than trying to help the most vulnerable people in society. It is a goal and an essential part of my life – a kind of destiny.”  – Princess Diana
