Why is Virtual School good?: The Pros and the Cons

Virtual school also known as online learning or distance education has become increasingly popular in recent years while some argue the virtual school is better, others claim it’s worse that’s explore the pros and the cons

Pros-

  • Flexibility: Virtual School allows students to learn at their own pace and on their own schedule
  •  accessibility: online learning can reach students and remote or unserved areas
  •  personalization: Virtual School can offer tailored learning experiences

 

 Cons-

  •  lack of social interaction: Virtual School can lead to isolation and decrease social skills
  •  technical issues: connectivity problems and limited it support
  • limited feedback: instructions May not be able to provide as much individualized feedback
  • self-motivation: students must be disciplined and self-driven to succeed

 whether virtual school is better or worse depends on individual needs and prefrences virtual school offers flexibility and accessibility it may lack the social interaction and Hands On Learning experiences of traditional schooling  but ultimately the effectiveness of virtual school depends on the student and the quality of the online program .
