Ms. Eckenrode, Adviser
Ms. Tracy Eckenrode is the Frederick County Virtual High School Journalism teacher. This is her third year with the Remote Virtual Program. She also teaches English 10 and English 11 classes.
She enjoys reading, quote collecting, and painting. When it comes to writing Ms. Eckenrode likes to write fiction. She finds the most challenging part of writing to be getting all of my ideas into the story. My pre-writing can be overwhelming at times.
Ms. Eckenrode hopes that writers young and old learn to enjoy writing. Write what you know and if you don’t know it, learn it.
When she is not teaching or writing, she spends time with her family: Jim (husband); children: Mitchell, Savannah, Lucas, and Nick; and her dogs, Josie and Rainey. She is excited to welcome her first grandchild in October 2023.
