Elika Roshan is a senior at Frederick County Virtual High School, but has also attended Linganore High School in the past. Some of her interests include: playing violin (she has played for 8 years, starting from 4th grade, playing at Frederick Community College), photography, writing, and basketball.

When Elika writes, she prefers poetry due to its elegance and powerful message it sends to the reader. She enjoys taking on the challenge of wordplay and finding the most effective, moving words for a piece. In addition to poetry, Elika values breaking news stories, viewing them as a crucial tool to relay information to the public in a quick way. She chose journalism to get a glimpse into the life of journalists, as they write and report.
